500 miles in winter

Yeah, I know that 506 miles of hiking in he coldest place in the lower 48 sounds pretty crazy. The extreme cold, deep snow and solitude will be just some of the challenges. But, that's all part of the adventure.

I'm Fronkey. And on February 2nd I am going to start my journey to be the first person to thru-hike the Superior Hiking Trail in winter... both ways.

I recently decided that strting a blog a a companion to my YouTube Videos would be a great idea. I will go over my gear selection, field testing, training and some of the other things I'll be doing to prepare for this trip. It's less than a month away and I can't wait to get out into the snowy woods of Minnesota. After, what's the worst that could happen?
